Launceston triathlon prodigy James Hodge has confirmed his future potential in the sport with a fantastic performance at the ITU Olympic Distance Age Group World Championships in Beijing, China earlier today.
Competing in the 18-19 male age group Hodge was able to lead from the front with his trademark swim (19.06) and a strong ride (1.00.29) and cross the line in 2.00.06 from fellow Australian Matthew Williams (2.01.16) and Kiwi Keiren McPherson (2.06.46) to be crowned new age group world champion. It is also interesting to note that James time was the fastest of all 598 male age groupers!
Further information will be posted upon James return to Tasmania.
